Dr. Charles A, Popkin, MD

Dr. Popkin is an orthopedic surgeon with Columbia Doctors and is an attending physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He specializes in sports-related injuries of the knee, shoulder, elbow, and hip for the pediatric, adolescent, and collegiate athlete.

With dual fellowships in Pediatric Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Dr. Popkin has dedicated his career to the comprehensive treatment and prevention of injury in developing athletes. He has a particular interest in the management of ice hockey injuries, serving as a team physician for USA Hockey, and on the USA Hockey National Safety and Protective Equipment Committee. Dr. Popkin is also the head team physician for: Fordham University, Mercy College, and the Hackley School in Tarrytown.

Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN, Dr. Popkin later went on to attend Colgate University where he played football as a defensive back for the Division I Raiders. He is a life-long hockey fan and, throughout his career, has cared for college hockey teams in both Canada and Minnesota.

• Do not expose G8RSkin™ Shiesty to temperatures above 120F or below -25F

• G8RSkin™ Shiesty can be machine washed in cold water only using mild detergent without bleach

• G8RSkin™ Shiesty must be air dried only

• G8RSkin™ Shiesty must fit snugly over the head and around the neck

• G8RSkin™ Shiesty is not a substitute for and must not replace protective gear associated with the sport for which it is being worn

• The pocket for the gel packet insert is inside the G8RSkin™ Shiesty at the base of the back of the neck. Place gel packet in pocket to activate cooling/heating feature

Limited Warranty and Disclaimer

G8RTech™, Inc (“G8RTech”), warrants that the G8RSkin™ Shiesty, when used, handled, maintained, and worn strictly in accordance with all use and care instructions, will be substantially free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of twelve months from the purchase date. Products returned to G8RTech and confirmed by us to be defective during the limited warranty period will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at G8RTech’s option. THIS STATES G8RTECH’S SOLE OBLIGATION, AND THE USER’S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY RELATED TO THE G8RSKIN™ SHIESTY. THIS REMEDY IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE CAUSED BY ALTERATION, MISUSE, MISHANDLING, OR ACCIDENT. No impact protection system can protect a user from all injuries. In all events the user assumes all risks, including all risks of bodily injury, death, and loss of or damage to property, arising from the user’s participation in athletic, recreational and any other activities while wearing the G8RSkin™ Shiesty. The G8RSkin™ Shiesty is not a substitute for and must not replace the protective gear, such as helmets, shoulder pads, and restraints, associated with the specific activity engaged in by the user. The G8RSkin™ Shiesty is intended to supplement and to be used in conjunction with standard protective gear.

To maximize the benefits of the G8RSkin™ Shiesty, proper fit and care of the G8RSkin™ Shiesty in combination with other standard protective gear are essential. This includes proper wearing of the correct size of G8RSkin™ Shiesty on the head and neck, washing the G8RSkin™ Shiesty in cold water only using a mild detergent without bleach, and air dried. Do not expose the G8RSkin™ Shiesty to temperatures above 120°F or below -25°F. Users are advised to read and follow all of the other important instructions contained with the product and on the website. Warning: failure to abide by the instructions provided with the G8RSkin™ Shiesty and on the website could reduce the performance of the product and void the limited product warranty.
